About01

We believe surgery should be predictable.

Every year, millions of patients experience post-operative complications, and too many are still preventable. Checksalus exists to close the gap between the data already present in perioperative workflow and the risk clarity clinicians need before the first incision.

Story02

The founding question was simple: why does so much perioperative signal stay disconnected?

Clinical and product leaders meeting around a table to review plans and data.

Checksalus was shaped around a recurring operational problem in surgery: the data needed to anticipate risk is often already present, but it lives across too many systems and arrives too late to help the clinician who has to make the next decision.

The product direction grew from that gap. Instead of building another general AI layer that gestures at perioperative care, Checksalus focuses on the workflows anesthesiologists, perioperative leaders, and clinical operators actually have to manage under time pressure.

That means pairing risk scoring with genomic enrichment, intraoperative monitoring context, outcomes feedback, and a procurement-safe deployment model so the product can move from theory to use inside real organizations.

Why Now03

Clinical pressure, data maturity, and regulatory expectations have finally converged.

  • Perioperative teams carry growing pressure to reduce preventable complications while documenting quality more cleanly.
  • FHIR-based data access and modern analytics infrastructure make it realistic to connect chart context, genomics, and outcomes in one governed layer.
  • Hospitals and health systems increasingly need AI that can survive auditability, procurement, and workflow review rather than only demo well.
Meet the Team04

Public team profiles now reflect the leaders shaping product, clinical workflow, and regulatory readiness.

Arshdeep Singh

CEO

Owns company direction, customer alignment, and how Checksalus stays focused on real perioperative operators instead of generic healthcare AI positioning.

Robert Sena

CTO

Leads platform architecture, model infrastructure, and the secure technical systems that support governed clinical review, integration planning, and scale.

Dr. Michael Carter

Clinical Lead

Keeps the workflow grounded in perioperative reality so scoring, genomic context, and intraoperative alerting remain useful to anesthesiology teams at the point of decision.

Albert Riley

Regulatory Lead

Guides compliance posture, documentation discipline, and the path to responsible external review so product claims, deployment language, and governance stay aligned.

Clinical Advisory Coverage05

Advisory disciplines are public now, with named participants to follow later.

Anesthesiology

Ensures the product solves the actual pre-op and intraoperative decisions clinicians face.

Perioperative Medicine

Connects risk insight to broader surgical pathways, escalation logic, and post-op review.

Clinical Informatics

Shapes how data provenance, chart integration, and auditability appear to operational stakeholders.

Pharmacogenomics

Guides how drug-gene evidence should be surfaced responsibly in perioperative workflow.

Operating Principles06

How the company wants to build.

  • Specialize where the clinical stakes are highest instead of pretending a generic model is enough.
  • Ship supportable workflows that respect clinician judgment, not automation that hides its reasoning.
  • Treat evidence, procurement readiness, and product design as parts of the same operating standard.
Mission

Anesthesiology remains underserved by serious clinical AI.

General-purpose clinical tools rarely carry the perioperative depth needed to be useful in the OR. Checksalus is being built as the anesthesiology and perioperative team’s tool, not as a generic overlay looking for a workflow.
